What invitation is embedded in near-death experiences that occur when we are already parents, whether during childbirth or when we are already parents of adult children? When Dr. Shokef was a young mother, she was involved in a car crash, was fatally injured, and had a profound near-death experience. In her webinar, she will explore how and why the invitations in near-death and spiritually transformative experiences are always for more than just the experiencers themselves.
She will discuss the invitation (distinct from an initiation), the social gaps that challenge our ability to fully embrace the gifts offered through our experiences, and communication with family, friends, and community about these experiences, especially with our children. She will share how one’s journey and individual experiences affect the family as a whole, explore parent-child soul promises, and her perspective on why embracing our near-death experience gifts is the key to fulfilling the soul promises we made not only to ourselves but also to our children.
About Efrat
Efrat Shokef, Ph.D., walks the knowing that everything is possible if we follow our intuition and say YES to the invitations the universe graciously offers us. Her journey took her from an academic path, through a car crash and a near-death experience, becoming absent as a mom, unable to care for her daughters. The reorganization of her physical body, together with the integration of her near-death experience, invited her to say multiple yes’s to the universe, and to explore the essence of motherhood and our sacred soul relationship with our children.
Today, Dr. Shokef guides parents in parenting from their essence and becoming the humans their children chose to come to. She is a shamanic energy healing practitioner working with children, teens, parents, and families, a mother to three spiritually aware, intuitive teens, who constantly invite her to grow, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a cosmic journeyer, and a writer. She holds a Ph.D. in social-organizational psychology, is a Fulbright Alumni, homeschools her daughters, raises four loving dogs, and loves nature, reading, cooking, and crafts.
